This was my third watercolor painting and it is a copy of a painting by Duane R. Light from his book, "Watercolor". I love the brightness of watercolor but it isn't very forgiving when a mistake needs correcting. The paper I used was very textured and I liked that because you could do some very neat drybrush effects such as what you see on the wood in this one. This one resides with a beloved cousin and her family who now reside in Anchorage, Alaska.
